LOCATION OF HARBOUR ISLAND

One of the 700 islands that make up the Bahamas, Harbour Island is about 200 miles from Miami, 60 miles from Nassau and two miles east of Eleuthera.

To get to Harbour Island from the United States, fly into Nassau, Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. From Europe, fly into Nassau. From either of these three cities, make sure you are booked into the tiny airport at North Eleuthera (MYEH)—a recently improved Port of Entry for private flights with a 6,000-foot landing strip. New lights have been added to allow night landings, but private pilots should check with local authorities before planning to land at night. MYEH is served by these airlines: Once you've landed at MYEH, you’ll take a 10-minute cab ride from the airport to the Three Islands Dock, then a less-than-10-minute water taxi ride to Harbour Island. Land and water taxis are always available and fares are about $5 per person. Make sure you tell your driver to take you to the SouthBar dock if you are heading to SouthBar. Harbour Island's Government Dock is on the other side of the island.
